BoardResearch supports boards in reflecting on their functioning and cooperation. Our approach connects research into board behaviour with the practical questions that organisations face.
We work with advisers who understand the responsibilities of supervisory and management boards. We aim to provide a careful, independent foundation for a useful evaluation conversation.
BoardResearch grew out of cooperation between researchers and people with experience of governance. We share an interest in the behaviour and relationships that shape effective boards.
Research provides concepts and measurement approaches for examining board behaviour. We consider the relevance of each instrument for the purpose and context of the evaluation.

Initiator and co-founder
Jaap brings extensive experience of board evaluation and corporate governance. His work connects academic insight with the practice of supervision and governance.
Co-founder and board member
Dennis specialises in corporate governance, board behaviour, diversity and board evaluation. His research examines the human and group processes behind boardroom decisions.
Chair of BoardResearch
Albert Jan works with directors on boardroom dilemmas, integrity and the relationship between people and organisations. He combines governance advice with experience of executive coaching.

Ludwig is an occupational and organisational psychologist. He supports boards in self-evaluation, governance effectiveness and organisational development.

Reggy’s academic expertise includes corporate governance and financial reporting. He contributes a research perspective on the responsibilities and functioning of boards.
